Vibering is created to enable deaf people to sense noises that are emitted in the rear. It is almost impossible for the hearing-impaired to detect noises behind themselves and beyond their sight. For example, they fail to take notice of a vehicle's horn somewhere at the back or a friend's alarming cry; this often results in an exposure of unforeseen emergencies. Vibering consists of two rings and a wristwatch. The ring enables the bearer to feel its vibration when there are any specific noises at the rear. The noise-detective signal of the ring is set to identify precise information from the wristwatch window at the same time.

Feature

Vibering, thanks to its unit designing of rings and a wristwatch, gives easy-to-wear and less-aversion approaches to the hearing impaired, while having satisfied two targets fashionably and functionally.

Operating explanation

1. It reacts specific sound then makes vibration. You can know the direction of sound immediately through two rings which were weared on each hands.

2. It senses sound occurred in the back. Sensor of sound is installed to ring. So it reacts when it gets specific sound behind.

3. Deaf people can know about around conditions. Because equalizer which is installed in the ring deliver the visual language. It also makes vibration when numerical value raise over.

4. Deaf people can guess causes of sound through length of vibration before they look over their shoulder.

5. Information of sound is got from ring then it is delivered to the watch. Then, deaf people can recognize a cause of sound exactly.

The advantage as using Vibering are reducing dangerous facts in the street and discomfort in communication with people. It raise deaf people’s sociality.





청각장애인을 위한 소리 감지기 _ Vibering

Vibering은 청각 장애인들이 뒤에서 나는 소리를 감지할 수 있게 해주는 청각 보조 시스템이다.

청각장애인들은 청각을 쓰지 못하는 대신 다른 감각기관들이 더 발달되어 있다. 눈으로 사람 입모양을 보고 말을 알아듣거나, 주변상황을 더 빨리 감각적으로 인지한다. 하지만 시야에서 벗어난 상황의 소리를 감지하는 것은 상당히 어려운 일이다.

예를 들어 뒤에서 차가 경적을 울리거나 친구나 직장동료들이 급히 부를 때 그들은 알아차릴 수가 없고 뒤에서 발생할 수 있는 위험이나 상황을 인지하기 어렵기 때문에 뜻하지 않은 사고의 위험이 있을 수 있다. 따라서 Vibering은 그런 상황의 어려움을 해소하기 위해 디자인 되었다.

Vibering은 두개의 반지와 하나의 시계로 구성되어 있으며 반지에는 소리에 반응하는 센서와 진동장치가 포함되어 있어서 뒤에서 특정한 소리가 들려오면 반지가 그 소리를 인식하여 진동을 일으키게 된다. 이렇게 반지로 받아들인 소리의 신호는 시계를 통하여 정확한 정보를 알수 있도록 디자인 되었다. 또한 시계에는 구조버튼이 있어서 전화통화를 할 수 없는 청각장애인들이 위급한 상황에 놓여있을 때 구조 버튼을 몇 초 동안 누르면 그들의 보호자에게 구조신호가 보내진다. 이 Vibering은 반지와 시계의 형태를 가지고 있기 때문에 휴대하기 쉽고, 착용시 거부감이 없어 청각장애인에게 패션 요소와 기능 요소를 동시에 만족시킬 수 있다.
